Hear the Ghosts

I love hearing the ghost voices by these people. They were the guests on Art Bell's Coast to Coast tonight. Everytime they are on, I get chills. They featured many children this time. That makes me wonder if I would be able to capture anything from my ghost.

I guess I will have to go out and buy a tape recorder again or maybe one of the nifty digital recorders that they are using now. I never feel fear or threatened by my ghost but it still kind of gives me the willies thinking that I might be able to hear something more clearly on a recording.

I got to thinking that maybe they catch the spirits of children so commonly because simply they are children. Maybe it is harder for them to understand "going to the light". Something to ponder. I guess when I die, I will know to go to the light somewhat but then again, there are a few people that I would like to haunt before I actually leave.

Politically Correct "Bless You"?

This is the best quote from IRC that I have had in a while.

[06:23] ( Slopi_Serv): sneezes
[06:24] [ Lord_Goliath]: may whatever diety you deem worthy of your worship smile fondly upon you...unless that's a bad thing and then not
[06:24] [ Slopi_Serv]: Is that your way of saying "Bless You"?
[06:24] [ Lord_Goliath]: yes

Friday Five

From Friday Five.org

1. Would you say that you're good at keeping in touch with people? - Now that I am older, yes. I did not keep in touch with many people from my youth and high school. I regret that.

2. Which communication method do you usually prefer/use: e-mail, telephone, snail mail, blog comments, or meeting in person? Why? - All of the above really. I use everything from cell phones and sms messaging to email and regular phone. I send postcards and other snail mail letters. I guess email is the one I use most, but I like them all about the same.

3. Do you have an instant messenger program? How many? Why/why not? How often do you use it? - I use msn and Yahoo. I log in every day but don't rely on it too much other than to talk to my mother.

4. Do most of your close friends live nearby or far away? - Almost all in Florida except for the wonderful people that I have met via the internet.

5. Are you an "out of sight, out of mind" person, or do you believe that "distance makes the heart grow fonder"? - It can go either way depending on the strength of the relationship before the absence.

George Noory Mentions ME!

Ok, I am tooting my own horn. This guy (alien_intelligence Rob from Illinois CoLdFuSiOn666) tried to steal our patrons away with this call. Didn't work, we still had a huge influx of guests at that point. Felt good that George knew who I was right away. Here is the call in .wma format. Anyway, the guy who made the call is still so obsessed with me that he has called my ISP. Lots of good that'll do. All because he could not respect the no profanity rule of the channel. We try to keep it clean because we do get some young'uns in. "Broadcast acceptable language", how hard is that? Now this guy pings me and queries me over and over with brilliant things like "loser", "tard girl", and "asdfasdf". I am so impressed. Not.

Thanks to DirecMe for recording the clip for me!

If you want to hear the show, or learn more about it you can purchase the stream from Art Bell's site. I highly recommend it! Or, you can find him on the radio between 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. Eastern Time. Oh, and for you whiners out there, I am not making money from this clip or infringing on any copyrights. Thanks and whine to someone who cares!

Exhausted

Ok, well I think I am finally going to put away my keyboard for the night. I know it is 8 something in the morning and I have been working on this for about 8 hours straight. So much for my day off. I still have a ton to do, so please don't expect everything on the site to work. I am also in the midst of transferring my site over to a mirror so I can actually have some multimedia capabilities. I made some great shockwave movies for my pets and photo pages, but I cannot get them to work here. Talk about a let down. I promise, they will be worth the wait.

Staying up all night does give me a chance to listen to Art Bell. For those of you that are night owls and would like to listen to talk radio that is a bit outside the norm, this is it. In fact, the host, George Noory that fills in for Art mentioned me on the show the other night. I didn't even call in! He and I have been emailing about him joining the chat one night and another caller (who has been banned from our channel) called in to promote an alternative chat space, but George just said "Oh yeah, I know a Danielle there. We email all the time." So much for that guy trying to steal our patrons. IRC politics. If you are not a regular out there in the scary IRC world, you probably wouldn't get it. You might not want to.

So, off to bed I go. I probably will dream about searching for pin-up girls and html that just won't behave. That is what usually happens. Worse yet, I will feel the pressure of "getting things done around the house" on my day off and will most likely be back up and grouchy by noon.

Gold Teeth

Yo. I wanna be down. Wonder how I would look with this in my mouth? I feel a photoshop project coming on.

Working On My Site

I really liked the previous layout I had, but I always felt that it did not reflect me, not to mention that it took forever to load. I had help with the last one, but this one is all on my own. If anyone finds something terribly wrong, you will let me know.

It is a long process changing all of the pages over. Some may not even work, and some mentioned on the new splash page do not even exist yet. Under construction, yup that is my site.

I am planning on buying my own domain sometime in the near future. Fateback has been really good to me. I highly suggest them if you are looking for a reliable free host without all the banners and popups. Pretty good domains to choose from. I just really wanted to try out some new software that they do not allow and add some home movies and music for download, but that is not permitted either. I know that it will be a bitch to change everything over. All my rings, Google listing, etc. but in the end will be worth it.

Other than that, the past few days have been pretty quiet. I haven't even had time to read many of the blogs that I usually frequent every day. Will probably be like that for a couple more days. Who knows.

Ok here it is!

Not sure that it is done, but this is my first try at my own from scratch layout. Will post a regular post later.

Layout Part 2

Thanks for the feedback. I am working on something simpler, and a bit less dependant on graphics. Also, going to keep my posted pics off the main page and just have thumbnails you can click on I think.. or something. Something to work on!

Layout

I am thinking of changing the layout here. I think that it loads too slowly and I may even change the address. Don't worry, I will let you all know before I do that. Does this page load slow to any of you? Am I being too much of a perfectionist?? Please let me know!
